UDC offers professional high resolution scanning services on our Scitex scanner. As the starting point for any print or project, the scanning of an original piece of artwork or image is a crucial step, especially when producing large format prints.

We produce scans at the optimum resolution for the intended use whether that is a 40 x 60 print or an 8 x 10. Often a scan is used for a variety of purposes at different sizes in which case we produce a source scan at the maximum intended size and make smaller variations of the image from this scan.

We can handle original artwork or film up to 16" x 20" positive or negative. We oilmount most transparencies to ensure smooth, clean enlargement.

The price of our scans include a proof and one iteration of color adjustment. If the scan is to be used in making prints at UDC, the proof is made on the same material as the final print and is tailored to our printing processes.
